WWE has published the statement confirming Ambrose’s exit from the company at WWE.com

The WWE has confirmed that Dean Ambrose will be exiting the company once his contract expires.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter published a statement from the WWE this afternoon.

Dean Ambrose (Jonathan Good) will not be renewing his contract with WWE when it expires in April. We are grateful and appreciative of all that Dean has given to WWE and our fans. We wish him well and hope that one day Dean will return to WWE.

Earlier today, news broke that Ambrose was exiting the company once his contract expires after Wrestlemania.

Ambrose reportedly did not accept a new 5-year contract with the company worth over one million dollars per year.

Dean Ambrose signed a developmental deal with WWE in 2011, and has been with the company since.

There is no word what the future holds for Dean Ambrose. The WWE does own the trademark on his name, so if he decides to go to another company, he would need to go under a different name.
